Code of conduct

Vibe Back only works if both people feel safe enough to be honest. These rules are short on purpose — and we enforce them.

Who this applies to

Everyone who books a session, gives feedback, or otherwise uses Vibe Back — including hosts, guests, and anyone who joins a call through our booking links.

What a good session looks like

• Be useful, not cruel. Direct feedback is welcome. Humiliation, mockery, or personal attacks are not.
• Stay on the work. Focus on the pitch, resume, idea, writing, or question that was brought — not the other person’s identity, appearance, or private life.
• Show up on time, or cancel early. If you can’t make it, cancel through the booking tool so the slot can open for someone else.
• Leave if it’s not working. Either person may end the call at any time. No explanation required in the moment — please rate honestly afterward.

Privacy in the session

• First names only unless both people clearly agree to share more.
• No recording — audio, video, or screen — without explicit consent from everyone on the call. Default is: nothing is recorded.
• Camera off is fine. So is declining to share a screen or document you are not comfortable showing.
• No dig-ups. Don’t search for, screenshot, or redistribute someone’s materials outside the session without permission.

What is not allowed

• Selling, recruiting, fundraising, or pitching your product/service in someone else’s feedback session. One attempt and you’re out of the pool.
• Harassment, hate speech, sexual comments, stalking, or creepy follow-up after the call.
• Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or similar characteristics.
• Sharing another person’s contact details, materials, or session content without their consent.
• Impersonation, spam, or attempts to game matching or ratings.

Ratings and consequences

After a session, both sides are asked to rate. We use that signal to keep the pool healthy. Repeated no-shows, low ratings for conduct (not for “they disagreed with me”), or a single serious violation can mean:

• a warning,
• temporary suspension from booking or giving,
• or a permanent ban.

We may act on clear evidence without waiting for a rating when something serious is reported.

How to report

If a session feels unsafe or someone breaks these rules, email [email protected] with:

• the date/time of the session,
• the first name or booking details you have,
• what happened, as factually as you can.

We read reports. We won’t force you to stay on a call to “work it out.”

Changes

We may update this code as the community grows. The date at the top is the latest version. Continuing to use Vibe Back after a change means you accept the updated rules.
